Medical Disclaimer
Last updated: 30 July 2026
YourDailyVeda (“we”, “us”, the “Site”) publishes educational reference material about Ayurvedic herbs, spices, culinary preparations and traditional practice. Nothing on this Site is medical advice. Please read this disclaimer in full before acting on anything you read here.
1. Educational information only
All content on this Site — herb profiles, recipes, traditional-use notes, dosage ranges, blog posts and reader stories — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended as, and must not be relied upon as, a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from a licensed physician, pharmacist, registered dietitian, or qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.
We do not practise medicine, Ayurveda, naturopathy, nutrition counselling or pharmacy, and we do not provide personalised health recommendations.
2. No doctor–patient relationship
Reading this Site, subscribing to our newsletter, submitting a blog post or story, or contacting us does not create a doctor–patient, practitioner–client or any other professional care relationship between you and YourDailyVeda or its contributors.
3. Always seek professional advice
Always consult your physician or another qualified health provider with any questions you may have about a medical condition, medication, supplement or dietary change. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you have read on this Site.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number immediately (911 in the US, 999 in the UK, 112 in the EU, 112 in India).
4. Herbs are not risk-free
Herbs, spices, extracts and “natural” products are biologically active. They can cause allergic reactions, gastrointestinal upset, liver injury and other adverse effects, and they can interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines — including anticoagulants, antidiabetics, thyroid medication, sedatives, immunosuppressants and chemotherapy agents.
Take particular care, and speak to a clinician first, if you are pregnant, attempting to conceive, breastfeeding, under 18, over 65, scheduled for surgery, living with a chronic condition (including liver, kidney, cardiac, autoimmune or thyroid disease), or taking any prescription medication.
Dosage figures shown on this Site describe ranges reported in traditional texts or published literature. They are illustrative, not a prescription, and they are not individualised to your body weight, condition or medication list.
5. Regulatory status
Statements on this Site have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, the European Medicines Agency, or any other regulator. No product, herb or preparation described here is intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Herbal products are regulated as food supplements in many jurisdictions and are not held to pharmaceutical standards of efficacy testing.
6. Accuracy, sources and user content
We cite published references where we can and review entries periodically, but traditional sources conflict, science evolves, and errors happen. We make no warranty that content is complete, current or accurate.
Blog posts and stories submitted by readers reflect the personal experience and opinions of their authors. They are moderated for obvious harm before publication but are not verified as fact, and they are not endorsed by us as safe or effective for anyone else.
7. External links and advertising
This Site displays third-party advertising and may contain affiliate links. We do not control, endorse or accept responsibility for the content, claims or products of advertisers or linked third-party websites. See our advertising and health disclosures for details.
8. Assumption of risk and limitation of liability
You use this Site and act on its content entirely at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by law, YourDailyVeda, its owners and contributors disclaim all liability for any loss, injury, illness or damage of any kind arising from your use of, or reliance on, information published here. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.
9. Contact
Questions, corrections or safety concerns about any entry: contact us at contact@yourdailyveda.com. We correct or remove content that is shown to be unsafe or inaccurate.
