Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
This policy explains what personal data YourDailyVeda collects when you visit yourdailyveda.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and comparable laws.
1. Who we are (data controller)
YourDailyVeda operates this Site and is the controller of personal data described here. You can reach us about any privacy matter at contact@yourdailyveda.com.
2. Data we collect
Account data. If you sign in with email or Google, we store your email address, a user ID, your display name and avatar where provided, and sign-in timestamps.
Newsletter data. If you subscribe, we store your email address, the language you chose, the page you subscribed from and the date of consent.
Content you submit. Blog posts, remedy write-ups and wellness stories, together with the name you publish under. Anything you submit for publication is intended to be public once approved.
Local preferences. Language choice, reading-mode settings and saved favourites are kept in your browser's local storage on your device.
Technical and usage data. IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, referring URL, pages viewed and interaction events, collected through analytics and advertising technologies.
We do not ask for and do not want special-category health data. Please do not include diagnoses or other sensitive health details about yourself or an identifiable person in submitted content.
3. Why we use it, and our legal bases
Contract: to create and operate your account, publish content you submit, and provide saved favourites.
Consent: to send the newsletter, to set non-essential analytics and advertising cookies, and to show personalised ads where consent is required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Legitimate interests: to keep the Site secure, prevent spam and abuse, moderate submissions, measure aggregate traffic and improve content.
Legal obligation: to respond to lawful requests and to keep records where required.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and protect form submissions; these cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) measure traffic. Advertising cookies (Google AdSense and its partners) are used to serve and cap ads and, where permitted, to personalise them.
In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, non-essential cookies are only set after you consent through our consent banner, which uses an IAB TCF-compatible consent management platform. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time via the banner's settings link. You can also block cookies in your browser and use Google Ads Settings to control ad personalisation.
5. Advertising and analytics partners
We work with Google (Analytics and AdSense) and, where applicable, other ad exchanges and demand partners that may act as independent controllers of the data they collect through ad slots. They may use cookies, device identifiers and IP address to select and measure ads.
We may also participate in affiliate programmes; when you follow an affiliate link, the merchant may set its own cookie to attribute a purchase. See our advertising disclosures.
6. Processors and hosting
Our application hosting, database, authentication and email delivery run on infrastructure provided by our platform and cloud vendors, who process data on our instructions under written data-processing terms. We do not sell your personal data for money.
7. International transfers
Our vendors may process data in the United States and other countries outside the EEA/UK. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum), the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
8. Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we do not email you again. Published contributions remain visible until you or we remove them. Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months in aggregate form.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR/UK GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Under the CCPA/CPRA, California residents may request to know, delete or correct personal information, and to opt out of “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising. We honour Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.
To exercise a right, email contact@yourdailyveda.com. We respond within one month (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA) and may need to verify your identity.
10. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security and changes
We use encryption in transit, row-level access controls and least-privilege server access, but no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We may update this policy; material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
